Resonetics Opens New Manufacturing Operation in Brookfield, Connecticut

Resonetics has opened a new manufacturing operation at Berkshire Corporate Park in Brookfield, Connecticut. Town officials and Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce leadership toured the site at an August 5 grand opening, according to the Brookfield Economic Development Office.

The Nashua, New Hampshire company, founded in 1987, specializes in advanced micro medical device manufacturing. The town said Resonetics now has about 20 manufacturing locations worldwide and more than 3,000 employees. CEO Kevin Kelly described the building as added capacity for customers and the patients they serve.

Why it matters for medical device supply chains:
Resonetics is a primary source for laser micromachining, Nitinol processing, and other micro-scale work that sits inside catheters, delivery systems, and implantable devices. Capacity at shops like this is booked far ahead of a device's design freeze. A new Northeast site is a practical change for OEM programs that already have Resonetics on the approved vendor list and need more slots in 2027.

What we know about the site:
Local coverage has not named the processes that will run in Brookfield. Treat it as incremental micro-manufacturing capacity until Resonetics publishes a process list. For sourcing teams, the useful facts today are location, the August 5 opening, and Kelly's framing of the investment as growth capacity rather than a relocation.
